Dear Students and/or Parents/Guardians,
My name is Nathan Ortlieb, and I am the Social/Emotional Learning Coordinator for New Miami Local School District. Since the 2018-19 school year, I have been working within this wonderful district and have gotten to meet so many wonderful students, parents/guardians, community members, teachers, staff, and administrators. In the 2019-20 school year, I joined the district as a full-time staff member, and I have loved it ever since!
My role within the district is to protect, serve, and advocate for all mental health needs within all grade levels, and to be here to support students and families in times of need. Another large role of mine is helping coordinator therapeutic services within the district, as well as facilitating peer support groups, and individualized sessions. I received my Bachelors of Science in 2017 at Wright State University, and since then, I have gotten my license to be a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA), and a Certified Life Coach. To me, being a Life Coach is such an amazing experience. Throughout my day, I get to help students set goals, develop healthy coping skills, provide a safe place for students to vent, and serve as a support system in their life.
