Welcome to our website! Thanks for taking a look! We're looking forward to a great year!
First of all, we continue this year with our same team members from last year: Kristin Schott, Debbie Dye-Giehls (Ms. Dye), and Donna Keener.
Miss Schott took the first grade position that was open after Mrs. Laughlin's departure this year. Miss Schott says, "I am so excited to be joining the first grade team this year to help your students grow and learn! I live in Newport, Kentucky with my boyfriend, Billy, our dog, Bandit, our cat, Nala, and a couple of fish. Some of my favorite things to do are explore downtown Cincinnati, kayak down the Licking River, and hike anywhere that has trails. Traveling is another hobby of mine. I actually just came back from 2 weeks in Europe right before our school year started! I am looking forward to being a teammate in your child's education. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me via class dojo, email, or phone calls. Happy first grading! "
Ms. Dye and Mrs. Keener have taught first grade and other grades for several years. Ms. Dye lives in Maineville with her husband and son. Mrs. Keener lives in Hamilton with her husband and son. She also has a daughter who is married and has two of her own children (Mrs. Keener's two grandsons).
Mrs. Grollmus and Miss Wood are our Intervention Specialists that help first grade and other grades. We also wanted you to know that all of the first grade team will be coming in contact with all of the first graders at some time during the day even though they may not be your child's regular classroom teacher.
We also have the help of Miss Megan Boyer again this year. She is the granddaughter of former teacher of our school district (Mrs. Maryann Boyer, who is now deceased). She will be working along with us in different capacities. We are very happy to have her again with us this year!
We thought you'd like to know that we put a calendar for the week on here and other important information. Click on the coordinating link on the side of this introduction page. We want you to remember to check your child's folder every day. Each teacher will have things come regularly and certain things will need to be returned everyday Please read through all of the papers, sign, and return what is necessary each week.
Together, with you, we can be a wonderful combination of love and help for your child. Please feel free to contact us at any time this year for any reason that you feel necessary (896-7153--ext. 1110-Keener, 1112-Dye, and 108-Schott). Leave a message if we can not answer and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. You can also send a note or an email to the address at the top. Class Dojo is also an excellent way to keep in touch with your child's teacher. We will update this site as much and as soon as possible. Keep up the good work and it will turn into a great year for all of us!
